Day 1 : BAGDOGRA (IXB)/ NEW JALPAIGURI Railway station (NJP) TO GANGTOK

On the way we visit the nomadic village of Thangu, famous for the traditional wooden houses built on the alpine meadows and Teesta River flowing through the lush valley. This excursion trip runs through the Kanchenjunga National park, to Gurudongmar Lake. On the way you will see the beautiful scenes of Chopta Valley and Thangu. The scenic Gurudongmar Lake will welcome you with beautiful sights of the hills and the glacial waters. This picturesque lake is in Northern Sikkim and is situated at a height of 17800ft, with thin air and negative temperatures, the lake remains half frozen throughout the year. It was very convenient to talk to the yes travellers and explain on what we wanted , booking also was easy , they understood our needs as we were travelling with one kid and infant . Everything in the trip went smooth , the hotels were at its best in cleanliness , food was great. On the whole we had a peaceful trip without any problems in the trip and pricing also was affordable . Cad drivers were all good and Genuine and very Humble , they were just now drivers but a guide and a friend who gave us more information about the places we visited and stopped at the right place for the lunch while travelling. You don’t have to worry about anything when you’re travelling with yes travellers .
